DESCRIPTION
Skin Sep™ disinfectant is a hospital-grade disinfectant with broad-spectrum efficacy, suitable for various medical and hygiene applications. Additionally, it plays a vital role in obstetrics and gynecology, effectively disinfecting the vaginal and perineal areas due to its penetrating and anti-microbial properties. In healthcare setting, it is extensively used for equipment and instrument disinfection, including cape ventilators, inhaler mouthpieces, bedpans, baby incubators, hand basins, etc. Its effectiveness in cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces ensures a hygienic environment in hospitals and clinical settings. The combination of Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Cetrimide, and Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) creates a broad-spectrum antiseptic and disinfectant solution used in medical, pharmaceutical applications. Each component enhances the antimicrobial action, making it effective against a wide range of pathogens. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is a Broad-spectrum antimicrobial with persistent action binds to skin providing prolonged protection. Cetrimide, a quaternary ammonium compound, disrupts bacterial cell membranes, effectively eliminating harmful microorganisms. This action helps prevent infections in open wounds, burns, and cuts while reducing the microbial load, thereby accelerating the healing process. Isopropyl Alcohol acts as a rapid-acting antimicrobial agent provides a cooling effect upon evaporation.
APPLICATION AREAS
SKIIN SEP™ is suitable for various medical and hygiene applications. Skin Sep is widely used for general skin antisepsis, including the disinfection of living tissues, burn management, and skin disinfection for pre- and post-operative procedures, wound cleaning .
USAGE INFORMATION
Personal Hygiene: Apply using a cotton swab or as directed by a physician .Also can be added to bathing water for an effective germ-free cleansing experience. Surface & Floor Disinfection: Skin Sep™ can be used for sanitizing hospital floors, medical equipment, and household surfaces.
RECOMMENDED DILUTION:
8-10 ml made upto 1 Litre with water for cleaning and disinfection equipment. The solution is used for cleaning and disinfecting, management of burns, swabbing in Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, cleaning and disinfection of post – operative wounds, storage of sterile instruments and clinical thermometers and for sanitizing hospital floors, medical equipment, and household surfaces. 25-30 ml made upto 1 Litre of water cleaning of dirty wounds, contaminated catheters, rubber applications.
NOTE:
Instruments containing mirror or other cemented glass components should not be immersed in. Prolonged and repeated application on the skin is not advisable
